The Government of Tamil Nadu through Dept. of Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare (ADTW) provides Post-Matric Scholarship to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Scheduled Converted Christian Students (SCC) who are pursuing UG / PG courses in Self-Financing Colleges.
Post-matric Scholarship is based on Income certified by the Tahsildar of the district. From 2014, the entire process has been made available online and the amount and Course fee is directly credited to the beneficiary student’s bank account.
The Opening of the Bank Account for individual student is facilitated in the College Campus every year.

BISHOP DANIEL DELANY SCHOLARSHIP POLICY
The BISHOP DANIEL DELANY SCHOLARSHIP is an initiative by the Management to provide educational assistance to the bright and needy students studying in PCAS.
The scholarship will be provided from the interest accrued from fixed deposit. Annually Rs.500000/- will be set aside by the management for this purpose.
Allocation of Scholarship
No of students beneficiaries - 100
Reservation : 50% Catholics and girls students
50% merit cum excellence in co curricular activities.
ELIGIBILITY
For UG students
Should be second/third year student at the time of applying
Should not have standing arrears
Should have been regular to college with at least 75 % of attendance
Family income should be less than 2,00,000/- pa
Should not have faced any disciplinary action
For PG students
Should be second year student at time of applying
Should have passed all subjects with overall percent of 60% and above in the first year exam.
Should have been regular to college with at least 75 % of attendance
Family income should be less than 2,00,000/- pa
Should not have faced any disciplinary action
The same criteria holds good for continuation of scholarship for III UG.
PROCEDURE
Students will submit the filled in application through the class teacher to the HOD
The HOD will forward the application to respective Vice Principals after due verification.
Vice Principal will recommend to the Director for approval and sanction.
The Director will approve the sanctioned amount.
DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED along with the application
12th certificate for UG and Degree certificate for PG
Mark statement copy of first / Second UG/ Second PG (whichever is relevant)
Attendance and conduct to be duly certified by the HOD.
Income certified by some reference if required.
PAYMENT OF SCHOLARSHIP
The scholarship amount will be adjusted towards the college fees.
PATRICIAN COLLEGE STUDENT WELFARE FUND – This scholarship is created by the student council to cater to the deserving students at the Patrician College.
Mobilization of Scholarship amount
First Friday of every month the student council members engage in collection of money from faculty and students
The amount collected is credited to the bank under the account name `Student Welfare Fund’
Disbursement
The eligibility and the distribution will be followed same as under Bishop Daniel Delany Scholarship.

Apart from the scholarships mentioned above there are many more private scholarships given by philanthropists. Students are asked to keep a watch on the announcements by the college and leading newspapers for availing the same. The college will facilitate the students for application processing.
The Free Education Scheme is a scheme of the University of Madras to assist the students who are unable to pursue their education in undergraduate courses in the Aided/Self-Financing Colleges only, affiliated to University of Madras, owing to financial constraint. The students residing in Chennai, Thiruvallur, and Kancheepuram districts are eligible to apply. The selection will be made on the basis of Economic status cum merit.
