The department B.Sc. Visual Communication was established in the year 2005 incorporating career oriented core subjects such as Professional Photography, Advertisement Photography, Computer Graphics & Animation, Film & Video Production including Videography, Non – linear Editing, Web designing, Screen Printing to Digitalized Vinyl Board / Hoarding production and 2D drawing & painting, 3D animation, with Real World Industrial Internship training as part of the curriculum. The students of the department also creatively manage freelancing works namely Designing, Ceremonial Photography Coverage, T.V.Advertising and short film production.

Visual communication is the best tool to communicate and share information. It is the transformation of information and ideas using visuals aids. It plays a vital role in communication verbally and Non-verbally. Visual communication is a vast field that includes signs, typography, drawing, graphic design, illustration, photography, advertising, animation, television production and electronic resources. The Course offers a wide range of job opportunities in the fields of media, designing, advertising and film industries. In Patrician College, we ignite the young minds and stimulate the artistic and innovative sense which in turn develops the creative ideas and talents of the students.
The Department has a state of art infrastructure to develop student’s skills on par with industry requirements. We strive to provide hands on practicing atmosphere to the students. Our expert faculty members through their proven teaching, strive not only to enhance student’s knowledge but to offer exposure in various subjects through workshops, seminars, guest-lectures, industrial visits and internships.
The program helps the learner to acquire knowledge about designing, computer graphics, web publishing, television production, animation and direction which helps him to understand the domain of mass media.
The learner develops the necessary skills and ability to understand the effective visual communication theories and models which focuses on structuring the thinking process to communicate ideas with clients, target audience and other specialist. The learner also become technically competent in the areas of Screenplay, Art direction, Cinematography and Editing. course.
