The purpose of the Student Affairs Committee (SAC) is to provide a policy guidance to promote safe and supportive environment. The Committee works for the overall well-being and holistic development of the students so that they may emerge as responsible leaders and as active participants in society. SAC is the coordinating body between the students and the administration and its scope extends to all areas under the purview of the college.
The Student Affairs Committee ensures students’ academic success, growth, and personal development. The committee offers proactive support and capacity building services to promote co-curricular activities in the college which could enrich our graduates at every stage of their life as well as they could build strong relationships with their peers, faculty, administration and other stakeholders. The committee also addresses various suggestions and complaints that may arise from the student’s body.
The Student Affairs Committee, headed by a Student Advisor, consists of One Faculty Coordinator, 4 Faculty Committee members, 15 Student Council members. The important function of the committee is to enhance the quality of student life both in and outside of the classroom.

The Patrician College Counselling Cell is a part of Mentorship program. The counselling cell is aimed at delivering services like individual counselling, group counselling and training activities for PCAS students and staff. The counselling cell follows individual counselling added with collaborative-dependent model of consultation i.e. Consultant-Consultee-Client in campus settings. In this model, the consultant (Counsellor) works together with the consultee (Faculty member i.e. personal/academic mentors) for the betterment of the client (Student). The consultant and consultee are believed to have a unique set of experience and expertise that are able to contribute to solving a problem. The consultee continues to depend upon the consultant’s Problem-solving expertise, Knowledge of normal and abnormal development and Skills for affecting client and systemic change.

The mission of Patrician Knowledge Resource Centre (PKRC) is to enhance teaching and learning at Patrician College through the provision of flexible, diverse and user centered information services and resources. The knowledge resource centre is considered as a focal point of the institution and is a new age versatile approach to managing print, digital, audio-visual material in a seamless manner. PKRC has all the valued sources of knowledge showcasing the best collection of e-resources. The collective strength of all resources at the KRC is aimed giving the centre the power to provide various services under one roof with online facilities to the faculty members, researchers and students.
The College is committed to providing a congenial atmosphere for learning and personal growth of students. A grievance mechanism is created to encourage students to express individual and group concerns related to academic and non-academic areas. The grievance mechanism has in place a Grievance Box (Yellow colour), a Suggestions Box (Green colour) and a Complaint Box for Sexual Harassment and Anti Ragging Complaint Box (Black colour) placed near the Principal’s office. The students are informed of this redressal mechanism at the time of orientation so that if the need arises, they can drop their suggestions or complaints in the respective drop boxes which will facilitate firsthand information for action to be taken.Complaints are handled in a sympathetic, fair, and efficient manner encouraging informal conciliation, early resolution, individual privacy and confidentiality.
Grievance Redressal Cell Policy
The College has an Anti-Ragging Cell in place as per the UGC Regulations. Any student can register their grievances and concerns regarding any form of ragging – verbal, non-verbal, or suggestive. Any action or word based on one’s identity, gender, community, caste or other discriminatory remarks can be reported in confidence to the Cell.
The Cell is constituted with a Student Advisor, members of the Management and the Student Council. The Committee assures the students to avail of proper solution for the discrimination they have experienced. At the same time, the college provides a conducive atmosphere for the students to nurture their dreams and pursue their ideals. Every student and parent submits an Anti-Ragging Affidavit at the time of admission.

The College is a co-educational institution and Sensitizing both genders on gender space and the importance of healthy ambience is the main goal of the Internal Complaints Committee. The college has constituted the ICC as per the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, and UGC guidelines to provide effective enforcement of the basic human right of gender equality and guarantee against sexual harassment and abuse, against sexual harassment. A Black Box is placed at the Principal’s office for students to drop complaints. The regulations are given in the Academic calendar. Several gender sensitivity and gender equity programmes are organized to educate the students on the importance of maintaining gender balance in the campus.
The cell functions with one faculty coordinator and eight members including student office bearers. Membership is open to all students.
The University Grants Commission(UGC) and Ministry of Education, Government of India, New Delhi is continuously monitoring the Prevention of caste based discrimination in Higher Educational Institutions. UGC has issued a letter for the prevention of caste-based discrimination in higher education institutions.
The College has constituted the Prevention of Caste Based Discrimination(PCBD) Committee. The objective of the Committee is to ensure that no officials and faculty members indulge in any kind of discrimination against any community or category of students and to resolve issues pertaining to the Caste Based Discrimination at Workplace.
The University Grants Commission recommends measures for ensuring safety and security for its women faculty and girl students in colleges. The Women’s Cell in Patrician College is a move to strengthen other cells like Grievance Cell and Internal Complaints Committee.
Women’s Cell works in Gender Sensitization and other women-related activities. It extends its activities to include on a regular basis awareness programs and workshops, sensitization to crimes against women, women health etc. The women’s cell has been instituted as per the UGC norms.

Parent Teachers Association is an important body that acts as the communication link among all stakeholders. It seeks to be the bridge that works together with both Faculty and Students. The Association strives to support the College’s efforts in imparting education to all. The PTA meetings are arranged twice a year. An Executive Committee consisting of elected members anchors the activities of the PTA.

In pursuance to the new regulation of the University Grants Commission, New Delhi (UGC) to
install an online system to Lodge Complaints against the instances of Caste Based
Discrimination, an online portal has been developed for the use of students/faculty/Non-teaching
staff of the Institute. They may register their grievances and concerns regarding SC/ST/OBC
discrimination and any kind of caste related injustice online, so as to avail proper solutions for
the inconveniences they had experienced.
Caste Based Discrimination Complaints system (CBDC) provides a platform for the authorities
to curb caste-based discrimination at the College, hence maintain an environment of social
equality.
