Patrician Job Fair

The management conceived a grand plan of conducting a public Job Fair every year on the campus in 2018. The primary aim of this plan is to provide a common platform for employers and job seekers so that they are mutually benefitted. In the present situation when liberal access to education has challenged employability, this attempt has been received by the public on an unprecedented scale.

Job Fair 2018-2019

The campus placement process for the academic year 2018- 2019 witnessed an excellent season with 78% increase in the number of students placed in 2019 when compared to the previous year.

We started the year 2018-2019 by looking into the various challenges that we faced in 2017-2018 and converted them as opportunities focusing on preparing the students for the industry and creating more opportunities.

  • 1) We expanded our focus outside BPO. This time we had companies participating from various fields including BPO, BPS, Banking & Finance, Media and IT.
  • 2) Preparing the students academically and mentally for the campus drive was one of the goals of Source Hub. An orientation session was conducted for all the final year students across the campus. Close to 700 students benefited from this session.
  • 3) Source hub also conducted a survey after the orientation to clearly identify students who are interested in campus interviews. 50% of 700 showcased interest in campus interviews and the remaining opted for other options like managing their own business and pursuing higher studies.
  • 4) The target focused on training the 350 students who were really interested in jobs. 10 different types of training sessions were conducted throughout the year which varied from conducting mock interviews, online aptitude tests from NIIT, written tests, placement readiness workshops, TOEFL seminar etc.
  • 5) NIIT Foundation organized a week long placement training in the campus for the arrear students which includes WPPF (Whole Person Process Facilitation) and Change Maker Student (CMS) Rollout. Certificates were provided after the completion of the course.
  • 6) To make students well equipped with the company processes, Source Hub has arranged an Industrial Visit for the students to Wipro. There students were enlightened with future technology, corporate infrastructure facility and growth in their career.
  • 7) Initiated IOT Lab with the aim of bringing the corporate environment in the college premises.
  • 8) Organized a tie up with Tata Consultancy Services for Science students to create industry awareness in their areas of specialization. The program, code named “TCS – Ignite” helped in our success.

The placement season this year witnessed participation from major recruiters like Wipro, IndusInd Bank, RR Donnelley, TCS, Sutherland, Sundaram Finance, Just Dial, Zilker Technology, Infosys, Adecco, Website Learners, Kotak Mahindra, Zalaris, ICICI , Untitled Interactive to count a few. 169 students were offered various coveted roles in Analytics, Consulting, E-commerce, Banking and Technology Consulting.
