The Department of Psychology was established during the academic year 2015-16 to offer an undergraduate course in B. Sc Psychology. The department organizes workshops, guest lectures, national seminars, and research oriented programmes to equip students with unique learning experiences. Field training and field visits are organized for hands on experience in the concerned field. The Psychology laboratory is equipped with different apparatus for conducting various psychological experiments. It includes various tools for the measurement of Intelligence, Problem Solving, Attention, Motivation, and Learning. Counselling services including personal counselling, career guidance and group counselling are also dealt with expert guidance.

The Department of Psychology at Patrician college of Arts and Science aims at exploring and explaining behaviour in congruence with the above mentioned quote. We provide a vibrant, technology-driven academic exposure to the students and harness their enthusiasm to the expected outcomes of both learning and as well as personal development. At present, the Department of Psychology has a total of 120 students hailing from various parts of the country.
At Department of Psychology, we ensure students learning the key theoretical concepts and subtle nuances of various aspects of cognition, affect and behavior. The Psychology laboratory is well equipped with adequate apparatus, questionnaires and test models, for practical understanding of psychological processes. We are able to capture the learning experience of students and provide individual care with the help of IT infrastructure at our campus. In addition, students are guided to gain applied experience from internship in Clinical / Educational / Human resource settings.
The scope of Psychology is wider and the skill set is celebrated in Mentoring, Guidance & Counselling, Assessment & Therapy, Learning & Development, Training, Disability Rehabilitation, Creative Arts, Designing & Media and Research & Analytics. After the completion of the undergraduate program in Psychology the student can pursue M.Sc. Psychology, MSW, M.Sc. Sociology and other related PG courses. We assure, by getting into this course at Patrician College of Arts and Science all the students will get to be progressive by the realm of psychology and equip them with unique skill set by the end of their course.

The program helps the learner to understand the basic concepts of psychology and human social behaviour. The study also enriches the learner with adequate skills needed to solve the problems faced by human beings throughout the course of life.
The learner develops the necessary skills and knowledge to understand the various theories and models of psychology. The learners also develop the necessary skills to measure aptitude, attitude and adjustment skills among people. The program also gives an opportunity for Post-Graduation, which helps them to upgrade themselves as a professional in this course.
