The Department of Journalism is a newly established department and it is a part of school of media studies. The department aims at training the students to dissipate the truth through journalism. The main focus is to make sure the students are well versed in theories of art, development and management of communication. Advertisement, public relations and content writing are also part of the programme The department believes that internships which are part of the course provides scope for the students to learn the best from hands on experience. The department organizes industrial visits for the students which gives them clarity and the process involved in the field of journalism. The department organizes various competitions and workshops at department and College level which enhances the creativity of the students and help them learn about managing and organizing such activities. After successfully completing the course the students can choose a career as a skilled professional in news and TV channels, radio stations as content writers,reporters,editor,camera person, Program executive and anchor

The program helps the learner to have a comprehensive knowledge regarding Accounts, Finance, Marketing, Taxation and Business Laws which makes the student a trained professional for various industries and corporate sector.

The learner develops the necessary skills and attributes to enable them to work in various positions like accountant, Financial Analyst, Sales Executives, Stock Agents etc. The program also gives an opportunity for post-graduation which helps them to upgrade themselves as a professional in this course.
