History
The Department of Computer Applications was started in 2001 and it has competent and well experienced faculty members. The Department prepares students for a variety of jobs ranging from basic jobs such as data entry to advanced positions in the computer field as Graphic Designer, Web Designer and Code Developer. The Department’s association is named TECHNO VISION. Various technical exhibitions and events are organized to enhance programming skills. Industry experts are invited for guest lectures. Academic quality initiatives are ensured through conducting Seminars, National level Symposiums, Publishing Articles in Journals at State, National and International level.

Greetings from the Department of BCA .!!!!!!
The Department of Computer Applications (Shift I) was started in the year 2001.
The Department has a team of experienced, distinguished, and dedicated Faculty
members with more than 10 years of experience in teaching, training , and
expertise to students to make them excel in the IT industry.
The Department organizes various activities such as workshops, guest lectures,
seminars, conferences under the banner of TECHNOVISION association.
To enhance the leadership skills of our students, the Department also conducts
Inter–Departmental, Intra- Departmental Events and Inter-collegiate Tech-Fest. To
exhibit the Hardware and Software skills , Students are encouraged to participate in
the Technical Exhibition organized every year.
The curriculum provides strong foundations not only in fundamentals of Computer
Science and applications, but also an overview on inter disciplinary courses such as
Financial Accounting, Cost and Management Accounts and elective courses for
widening their domain expertise.
Industrial visits , Educational tours are arranged for the hands-on training to
students. Students can participate in Robotic projects events to Design and
develop software based solutions for real world problems.
Interaction with alumni is helpful for the students to bridge the gap between IT
industries and Academic institutes.
Smart Class rooms and Well-organized Computer Lab facilities with software &
hardware as per the curriculum requirement helps the students to have an
enhanced learning experience.
The Department is proud of a good placement record and students have been
placed in key positions as Software Developers, programming executives ,
Operations Executives, cloud architects ,data engineers etc.

Syllabus
Programme Outcomes
The programme helps the learner to design and develop software applications and innovative solutions to establish themselves as effective professionals by solving real problems through the use of computer science knowledge. The program also helps the learner to adapt to new technologies and by upgrading their skills
Programme Specific Outcomes
The learner develops practical competencies in a programming
language, open platforms and develop computer programs in the areas related to algorithms, graphics, system software and
multimedia.
The program also gives an opportunity for post-graduation which helps them to upgrade themselves as a professional in this course.

R. Ajinath - II BCA has participated in Madras University Dr. Sir. A. LakshmanaswamyMuddaliar Golden Jubilee Commemoration 50th Athletics Meet held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Chennai from 24.10.2017 to 26.10.2017. He secured Third place in Triple Jump.
